Privacy Policy
ImageCal
Last updated: September 02, 2025
ImageCal (“App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
1) What We Collect
- Content you provide: images you choose to process to extract event details; optional event edits you type.
- Calendar access (with your permission): we read/write calendar entries only to create or edit events you approve.
- Subscription status: non-sensitive purchase and renewal status from Apple/Google to unlock premium features. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Diagnostics: basic device/OS info, crash reports, and performance metrics to improve stability.
2) How We Use Information
- To extract event details from your images and preview them to you.
- To create, update, and manage calendar events on your device or your connected calendar account.
- To verify subscription status and deliver paid features.
- To improve reliability, performance, and user experience.
3) On‑Device vs Cloud Processing
To convert images into event details, the App may use on-device logic and/or a third‑party AI/OCR processor (e.g., a cloud provider) acting strictly as our processor. When cloud processing is used, your image and relevant prompts are transmitted solely for the purpose of extracting text and event data, then discarded by us after the operation. We configure providers, where options exist, to disable use of your content for model training.
We do not build a profile of you; we do not sell your data; and we do not show third‑party ads.
4) Calendar & Accounts
- Apple Calendar (EventKit): event access happens locally on your device. We do not receive your Apple account credentials.
- Google Calendar (if you connect): OAuth and event save are handled by Google’s systems. Access tokens are stored securely by the App/OS. We do not see your Google password.
5) Data Retention
- Images: processed ephemerally for extraction; not retained on our servers after processing.
- Calendar data: remains in your calendars until you delete it via your calendar app.
- Diagnostics: retained only as long as necessary to troubleshoot and improve the App.
- Legal: we may retain limited records if required by law, security, or fraud prevention.
6) Sharing
- Service providers: trusted processors that help us run the App (e.g., AI/OCR, analytics, cloud infrastructure). They are bound by contracts and can only process your data on our instructions.
- Compliance: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- No sale of personal data: we do not sell or rent personal data.
7) Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we process. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you use the App at your own risk.
8) International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. When we transfer data, we rely on appropriate safeguards permitted under applicable law.
9) Your Rights & Choices
- Permissions: you can revoke calendar/photos access anytime in your device Settings.
- Access/Deletion: delete the App to remove its local data. For server‑side processor logs (if any), contact us using the email below.
- Marketing: we do not run third‑party advertising or marketing trackers inside the App.
10) Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your local law). If you believe a child provided us personal data without consent, contact us to request deletion.
11) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
